READEASY WRITERS’ GROUP
OPEN TO ALL
We’re pleased to announce the second event in the Inky Fingers series: our monthly Readeasy Writers’ Group, set up to be a safe and encouraging space for writers to meet up, hear their word read, and get constructive critical feedback. The opening session is at the Forest, Bristo Place, 6.30-8.30pm, Tuesday 9th of November.
It’s open to writers of any style, experience, identity and genre — but places each month are limited. To secure a slot, e-mail inkyfingersedinburgh AT gmail DOT com in advance with your name and a piece of your writing attached — and then just come along on the night with cake and a ready mind. At Inky Fingers we believe in throwing words wide open: we want
everyone to be able to create with language and share their work. We
care about supporting and encouraging writers and spoken word
performers, creative experimentation, building communities of writers
working together to create, and putting on fantastic events that
celebrate language.
We’re excited and delighted to announce the inaugral Inky Fingers
event: an Open Mic Night at the Forest, Bristo Place, 8-11pm, Tuesday
26th of October. There’ll be plenty of slots for open mic
performances, but also feature sets from some top Scottish poets
(names to be confirmed soon)
We’ll be taking sign-ups for performances on the night, but to be sure
